Lojer Wins Trademark Use Court Case in Sweden
The Lojer Group won a court case in the Stockholm District Court over wrongful use of its Delta trademark. The Stockholm District Court ruled that Swedish massage product seller Selus may not use the Delta trademark, which Lojer owns, in conjunction with other physiotherapy or massage treatment tables. The court also ruled that Selus must inform its customers of this ruling and pay Lojer’s legal costs.
“We are very happy with the court ruling. It shows that the judicial system takes trademark breaches seriously,” said Lojer’s managing director Ville Laine. “Our Delta massage tables are the result of years of development and represent the very best functionality and durability, which is why they are so popular among physiotherapists and masseurs. It’s sad that someone would try to take advantage of our hard work by using our trademark without permission and making copies of our high-quality product,” Laine continues.
