Lojer increases its capacity and invests in information technology
Lojer Group is responding to growing demand by increasing its production capacity and investing more in its IT systems. The company managed to ride the recession well, even growing its market share. The company has also grown to become the largest employer in Finland within its field. Inspired by this growth, the company is renewing its painting and powder coating equipment at the Kempele and Vammala facilities, which will significantly increase automation. As a result, production capacity at the Kempele facility will increase by a third.
According to Lojer Oy's Managing Director Ville Laine, these changes are in direct response to growing demand. “We are in good stride, with order numbers reaching record levels. We want to also be as effective as possible in our customer management and supply chain processes – which is why we have ordered a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from Digia Oyj, to be taken into use in early autumn. We want to offer efficient service to our clients in all areas of the ordering and delivery process,” Laine adds.
Laine says that Lojer wants to be an ambassador and supporter of Finnish workmanship within its field, and this is also a strong influencing factor in the company's investments. “These investments, totalling nearly a million euros, are being sourced from Finnish companies".
